- End-User Initiated Browser-based Connection Testing
Provides end-users a quick and easy means to test their connection to your MCS server, results are displayed to the endц╞б©б⌡user and logged to the MCS database for review by support technicians.
Browser tests are performed via a Java applet which can be served from the MCS built-in web engine, or a third party web engine such as Apache or IIS. This solution provides an ideal foundation for a self-help portal strategy. - MCS
Database Consolidates Test Results
All test results -- from browser testing, Remote Agent testing or the AccessCT device -- are captured to the MCS database, delivering a comprehensive profile to enable a fast resolution to high impact customer problems. Real-time and historical reports enable support technicians to immediately view connection performance for tests performed via the browser, Remote Agent or AccessCT device. Individual results are easily identified through use of the SessionID option or Remote Agent name. Pre-defined reports provide quick views to results in the Last Hour, Last Day by Hour, Last 30 Days by Day, with built-in summarization of data, or create your own report templates for customized views. Results are easily exported. - Satellite Servers Enable Connection Testing between Remote Locations
Satellite Servers significantly extend the Automated Network Testing capabilities by delivering an effective end-to-end network testing solution anywhere within the enterprise without the cost of establishing and maintaining full server testing solutions. Satellite Servers act as target testing servers for Remote Test Agents, providing a quick and easy means to perform on-going or ad-hoc testing from one remote location to another remote location, fully managed from the MCS management console with test results immediately visible to the MCS Support Technician via browser-based reports.
Network technicians can use Satellite Servers to establish additional connection testing points at the application edge to accurately test actual application network paths. Satellite Servers can be created and deployed an unlimited number of times, use of the Satellite Server is limited by the number of active Remote Agent tests (CAT) licensed. A single connection test provides a limited picture of connection performance, many factors affecting connectivity are only visible when viewing results of tests performed at regular intervals over several days or longer.
