This plug-in adds encryption and encoding functions to FileMaker Pro 7, 8.x and 9. With the Troi Encryptor plug-in you can make sure information can only be read by the persons you want. With it you can encrypt fields using the powerful 128 bit Rijndael encryption scheme, so that your sensitive data is secure.
New version for FileMaker Pro 9
We have released a new version (2.5.2) of Troi Encryptor Plug-in, our powerful encryption plug-in. This release fixes a small bug and some minor issues. It is compatible with FileMaker Pro 7, 8.x and 9 and is using the native FileMaker 7 syntax.
FileMaker 7 native
Troi Encryptor Plug-in 2.0 was completely rewritten to be FileMaker 7 native, allowing it to make use of the advanced possibilities, like multiple, self-explanatory parameters and support for Unicode.
For those users who are still working with FileMaker 5 through 6, and for users of FileMaker 7 who prefer to continue working with the 'classic' plug-in function calls, we offer Troi Coding Plug-in version 1.6.2.
Secure your FileMaker data
The Troi Encryptor Plug-in 2.5.2 is a very powerful tool for for securing your FileMaker data, exporting or emailing your data without risk and importing safely back into FileMaker. With the plug-in installed you can do all this from within FileMaker:
- encrypt text or container fields, using the powerful 128 bit Rijndael AES Encryption scheme, so that your sensitive data is secure
- export encrypted data that can be sent safely over the Internet, for example via email. No risk that someone will read or change the data while in transit
- use the decryption functions to restore the original information after you have imported the received email or export file back into FileMaker, with the assurance that nobody will have tampered with it
- verify data integrity and sources with MD5 or SHA-1 message digests
- encode text in e.g. Base64
- make conversions to and from binary
- compress databases with large text fields
Encrypt your information
Now you can make sure information can only be read by the persons you want. Without the plug-in FileMaker stores the data in a database readable for anyone with a little patience. But with the Encryptor Plug-in you can encrypt fields using the powerful Rijndael AES encryption scheme, so that your sensitive data is secure.

With Troi Encryptor Plug-in you can not only encrypt text but also container fields. If you have sensitive images, like for example medical images, you can now encrypt it natively in FileMaker Pro 7!

You can export encrypted data that can be sent safely over the Internet, for example via email. No risk that someone will read or change the data while in transit.

After you have imported the received email or export file back into FileMaker, our decryption functions will restore the original information, with the assurance that nobody will have tampered with it.

Troi Encryptor Plug-in 2.5.2 works with FileMaker Pro 7, 8.x and 9. The plug-in also can be used with runtimes from FileMaker Developer 7, FileMaker Pro Advanced 8.x or FileMaker Pro Advanced 9.
The plug-in is available for Mac OS X and Windows. On Mac you'll need Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later (for PowerPC-based Macs) and Mac OS X 10.4.5 or later (for Intel-based Macs). Windows requirements are Windows 2000 (Service Pack 4) or Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows Vista.
