- Desktop
Well-suited as an easy Linux desktop, Desktop provides a broad selection of multimedia-software and hardware-support. The Live CD offers the possibility to run Ubuntu directly from CD, as well as installing Ubuntu onto your harddisk. The Install CD is a suitable alternative for those who do not need to run Ubuntu directly from CD or wish to install Ubuntu on older systems. - Server
The renewed Server Edition offers stability and speed, ready for use in a professional enviroment. New features include virtualization support and improved hardware support.
