Blancco - Data Cleaner (BDC) data erasure software
destroys all data on computer hard discs the
way that data recovery is impossible. Data erasure
is based on a program solution overwriting the
hard disk or its partition(s).
BDC is an
insurance to organisations against the misuse of information
held by computers. Following examples are common cases/situations
about the need of data erasure:
- When the computers
in your organisation are returned to the lease
holder/leasing company at the end of the leasing
period
- Selling used computers
- Donating used computers
- In case of internal
changes within organisation
- Sending the computers for maintenance or
use elsewhere outside the organisation
- Removing computers from use

hard discs can be cleaned whenever needed -
without special equipment

Cleaner overwrites all tracks, sectors and cylinders of
the hard disc one, three, seven or selected
number of user defined times, with random data.
